Land Management
With help from the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty's Sustainable Development Fund we have purchased a horse drawn Homesteader.
It is designed for the small farmer, market gardener or allotment owner who wants to grow vegetables and flowers on a slightly larger scale. It is the primary piece of equipment needed to plough the land, prepare the earth for planting and for cultivation and harvesting of the crop.
Combining this multi tool piece of equipment with working horses allows the ground to be cultivated with low compaction, low carbon output and high community involvement - like open days.
We also offer a basic paddock care service, using our working horses pulling an 8 foot harrow and roller.
